Herbie Hancock – the phenomenal jazz pianist and composer known for his collaboration with Miles Davis is to give three concert in Poland. The "Herbie Hancock Sextet" concerts are scheduled in Katowice on Nov 30, Warsaw on Dec 1 and Poznań on Dec 2 as part of the Year of Climate and Environment Poznań 2008 programme.

The 3rd Innocent Sorcerers Festival is on in Warsaw until November 16. The scope of the festival is culture in Warsaw of the 1950’s and 1960’s. The symbols of the era are cult writer Leopold Tyrmand who left Poland in the early 1960s, the legendary composer Krzysztof Komeda famous for incidental music to Roman Polanski’s ‘Rosemary’s Baby”, and film star Zbigniew Cybulski, known as Poland’s answer to James Dean.

The 2008 Kulisiewicz International Graphic Arts Triennial begins at the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw on November 7 with the IMPRINT awards ceremony. The exhibition, part of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue EU project, is open till the end of November.
