Energy-saving infrastructure
The Royal Castle in Warsaw has been honoured with the Trane Energy Efficiency Leader Award granted to buildings whose energy and operational environments were improved.

PGE Elektrownia Turów S.A. is the flagship of Polish eco-friendly power engineering. The European Union’s power engineering policy and the legal regulations which stem from it oblige member countries to increase their contribution of renewable energy sources in the total amount of produced and consumed energy.

Bielsko-Biała has won this year’s 3rd competition for the most energy-efficient community in the above-100,000 population category. The contest is an initiative of the Polish National Energy Conservation Agency.

With a population of 260,000, the Opole agglomeration (Opole city with surrounding communes) in southern Poland has become one of Poland’s first centres effectively implementing a policy of sustainable development. It took 8 years to introduce environment protection programmes there.
