National sports stadium construction to start
“This is an investment all Poles are holding their breaths for. Warsaw may gain a lot thanks to the stadium and related sports facilities. We want EURO 2012 to focus the world’s attention on Poland and our whole nation will benefit from it” – Kozłowski said.
“The opening game and one of the semi-finals will be played at the National Stadium in Warsaw. I am happy that one of the two most significant sports facilities of the championships – in Warsaw and Kyiv – the one in Warsaw has overcome red tape. I believe that the investment will be completed without any delay” – Adam Giersz, the advisor to the President of the city of Gdańsk for EURO 2012, said.
“This is another milestone in completing this project. It was prepared at a record pace and the construction permit was granted at a record pace. I hope the case of the National Stadium in Warsaw will serve as an example for other similar investments in Poland” – Michał Borowki, chairman of the National Sports Centre, added.
