An unprecedented exhibition
At the same time it will be the biggest mining industry EXPO in the last ten years in the world, worthy of the 50th anniversary of the World Mining Congress, which started in 1958 in Warsaw.
“The exhibition space has exceeded 20,000 sq.m. That is more than during the last EXPO in Teheran and earlier in New Delhi,” said Tomasz Raczyński, president of Kolporter EXPO Management Board. China, India and Great Britain are preparing group exhibitions in national pavilions with especially designed stands. In the main they will include companies that have not exhibited at the Polish mining fair before. The Czech Republic and Sweden will also have group pavilions.
The Minister of Economy and Minister of Finance are patrons of the MINING EXPO fair. Fair organisers are preparing special Ministry Days, during which the potential of Polish mining and ownership changes in the sector will be discussed in special panel sessions. EXPO provides an excellent opportunity to promote Polish mining industry and associated international cooperation.
Official government delegations from several European, Asian and African countries, as well as Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the Komi Republic of the Russian Federation and South Africa will take part in the 21st Congress and EXPO. Embassies of other countries are also advising about ministerial interest, including from India and Laos. “We are expecting several thousand visitors, who are mining sector specialists from the whole world,” said Tomasz Raczyński.
