JSK is a regular railway management unit. Its services cover:

- operating railway lines under tariffs approved by the President of the Rail Transport Office (UTK)
- rail infrastructure maintenance and repair services (especially project and cost documentation and supervision)
- help in preparing rail infrastructure construction projects and obtaining permits for such projects from local authorities
- help in removing mining-related damage to railway infrastructure (project and cost documentation, project execution and supervision)
- specialist training for railway staff. JSK has its own examining board appointed by the Rail Transport Office to carry our qualifying exams and periodic tests for staff directly responsible for railway traffic (shunters, junction operators, etc.).
