Inflation in Poland to go down

Polish Deputy Minister of Finance Katarzyna Zajdel-Kurowska has told TVN CNBC Biznes that inflation is expected to go down. ‘According to the Ministry’s estimates it will reach 4-4.2% in December’.

Polish Ministry of Finance sustains its forecast for 2009 according to which inflation should average 2.9%. However, economists think that reaching this target requiring lowering the current rate by 2-2.5% cannot happen this fast.
The Minister of Finance reassured this scenario is probable. ‘We do not expect inflation pressure caused by increasing food prices because this year’s crops are very promising’ - Zajdel-Kurowska told TVN CNBC
