The school traditionally tops various rankings and its highly-skilled graduates occupy leading positions in industry. AGH’s high-level engineering courses have drawn rising numbers of students to the school in recent years.

In order for the school to cope with rising educational and research demands it must invest broadly. Most important is the development of teaching facilities to ensure comfortable conditions for all who wish to study there. Consequently, the AGH authorities lay great weight on building new and expanding existing infrastructure. Today AGH’s modern Didactic Centre with numerous lecture halls, labs and richly-stocked libraries make for a friendly and pleasant climate. Our students also have access to multimedia, thanks to which they can easily seek out all they need to know and learn how to seek information. E-learning also teaches our students independence in seeking knowledge and information, a skill that is especially important in modern society.

Another important investment area are sport and leisure facilities. The school already boasts several gyms, a modern swimming pool, fitness clubs and tennis courts, soon to come is an artificial-grass football pitch, a track-and-field hall and roofed tennis courts. The main aim of these investments is to enable adequate physical recreation for students, staff and their families.

AGH’s R&D facilities are constantly expanded to enable modern research, sometimes in very narrow, specialized fields. Much of AGH’s researchwork is unique in Poland.

The most important investment, however, are people, as it is they who will decide about the strength of our society and country.
