Victoria Dom Foundation of prosperity
Q: How did the company manage to enter the demanding Warsaw market?
A: Owing to the firm’s fast expansion, in spring this year we turned it from a partnership into a joint stock company. We also changed its name and moved to new headquarters. Earlier the firm had been called JKJ Development Jasiński. It started development activity in Warsaw in 1996 as a family business. Its owners were sure it was only a matter of time for a housing boom to start in Poland. And they knew Warsaw was the most attractive location. As the firm earned prestige and experience it eventually had to be turned from a small family business into a medium-sized company with ambitions for the future. It started virtually from scratch so its present position is a real success.
Q: What projects are you the most proud of and why?
A: There is no project in the company’s history we should be ashamed of. We are proud of every project. So far we have built almost 400 houses and 250 apartments. Many interesting projects are under preparation or being implemented. We expect a considerable increase in orders in coming years.
Q: You started with houses. What made you expand your line by apartments?
A: One of the important success factors in business is synergy. We find synergy in client groups, promotional activities and cost-related aspects. Houses are still our main product but apartments generate a large proportion of our sales now.
Q: What do you offer to clients now?
A: There are several houses on Wilkowiecka Street to be completed in the second quarter of 2009. In the second quarter of 2010 we are going to complete apartments on Mehoffera Street and houses on Wałuszewska Street. Then, we will be offering apartments on Wałuszewska Street, houses on Zdziarska Street - all these projects are in the Białołęka district – and houses on Strzygłowska Street in the Wawer district.
Q: Who are your clients?
A: The middle class, which will be expanding in Poland, is our target group. They are young people, mainly young married couples, who want to build their life on strong foundations and settle down in a solid house or apartment.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: With our pool of land for development, good product and excellent relations with clients, we can look into the future with optimism. We want to diversify our activity by new locations and expand our line in terms of finishing standards and ways of funding. We are diehard optimists but have our feet firmly fixed on the ground.
