Most of the company’s environmental undertakings concentrate on production. Already in the initial production stage care is taken to purchase only the right kind of materials – wood, fabrics, leather, etc. We buy upholstery materials only from producers who adhere to rigorous technological and environmental norms. Most of our suppliers are from Italy, Spain, Germany and Belgium. Their high-quality production is a guarantee that the upholstery on our furniture is durable and free from allergy- or disease-causing substances.

Varnishing is usually considered one of the most polluting stages in furniture production – but not at Mebelplast. We use only water-based varnish which is far less harmful. Also, the entire procedure takes place in a closed cycle isolated from the outside environment, with the air repeatedly recycled. Combined with state-of-the-art technology, these rigorous procedures effectively prevent any harmful bodies penetrating outside.

Eco is a fully natural fabric with no synthetic additives. It is made from highest-quality chemicals- and pesticide-free yarn. The entire production process is closely monitored. The fabric is coloured with natural indigo, which was already used by the ancient Egyptians in an age free from chemical pollution.

Genetic’s secret lies in its mechanical qualities: it is stretchable, tear-proof and Martindale-tested for resistance to abrasion. Visually Genetic is very like natural leather bar its characteristic smell, it is also waterproof. In fact, Genetic is ten times more breathable than synthetic leather and it never causes you to sweat. Thanks to nanotechnology all stains on the fabric are easily removable.
