2009-03-18

The Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Ltd. (Świętokrzyskie Centrum Innowacji i Transferu Technologii Sp. z o. o., RCITT) in Kielce was founded on January 11, 2002 as a non-profit organization. The Centre is a joint Project by the Świętokrzyskie Provincial Government, the authorities of Kielce, and the Kielce University of Technology.

RCITT’s main mission is to help raise competitiveness in Świętokrzyskie – chiefly in production, services, education and management. Offered are consulting, training and certification services as well as help in the transfer and promotion of new technologies, applying R&D to market needs, accessing market information sources and sealing partnerships. We employ specialists in a multitude of economic branches as well as scientists, and cooperate closely with local authorities to ensure that our undertakings comply with regional policy.

We participate in quite a few projects of considerable importance for Świętokrzyskie Province. We offer consulting, personnel training and promotion services, we also help enterprisers searching for new technologies and assist in applications for EU funding.

Our flag project at the moment is the second phase of RIS-Świętokrzyskie (Regional Innovation Strategy) Prospects, an innovation-promoting scheme co-financed from the EU’s European Social Fund. Our partners on this undertaking are local institutions in Świętokrzyskie.

The aim of this project is to increase innovation in the region by enhancing cooperation between local academic centres and industry to aid the introduction into the region of innovative solutions, know-how and technology. We also plan to upgrade the Regional Innovation Strategy in Świętokrzyskie.

We also offer charge-free participation in foreign commercial missions, which enhances personal contacts and helps gain more information about new technology. We organized two such missions during the first phase of the RIS programme: in December 2008 RIS participants learnt about best practices in education development and building teamwork skills as members of a strategic team in Finland. In February of this year there was a mission to the Swedish province of Uppsala, whose participants learnt about local energy policy and infrastructure development on the example of a government broadband internet programme. They also examined progress in linking R&D to commerce. One of the mission’s highlights was a visit to Sweden’s most advanced waste incineration plant. In Stockholm there was a presentation of trail-blazing environmental technology and sustained growth effects in one of the city’s districts. Shown among others was the application of underground transport for municipal waster processing.

RCITT recently opened the Świętokrzyskie ITRT (Innovation Task Resolution Theory) Centre, the first of its kind in Poland. In the centre a ŚĆITT expert helps in solving non-standard construction and technological problems by means of state-of-the-art ITRT methods.

Another of our big successes is RCITT’s strong market position. In 2005 we placed third on a list of 500 most innovation-oriented firms in Poland.

In confirmation of its high service standards RCITT holds Quality Management System certification and has been entered in the National Servicer System.

Innovative technology and solutions are decisive for a company’s growth. Thanks to our efforts quite a few enterprisers in Swiętokrzyskie have been able to make good use of the benefits of innovation. Try us.
