The Maciej Zien autumn – winter 2009/2010 fashion show was held on Friday,

8 May in RONDO 1 (at Rondo ONZ 1 in Warsaw). The collection is called "Covered by cashmere”.

"Fashion does not exist without attention, without enthusiasm, without passion" – that is the thinking behind the latest collection from one of the most well known and valued designers in Poland. RONDO 1 – the only first-class office building in Poland, located in the heart of the capital, was not only the Partner, but also the host of the show.

RONDO 1’s participation in this unusual event was not coincidental – the “Zien” brand guarantees exceptional quality and is symbolic of elegance, beauty and good taste. The unique reputation of the designer perfectly matches the development and promotion strategy of RONDO 1 which is not only the headquarters of many international prestigious companies, but is also a perfect localization for exclusive cultural, artistic and social events.

Ceremonial presentation of the new collection of Polish designer took place at the 7th floor of RONDO 1, in the A building (parking part of the object). After the show guests attended the after party, where the DJ ADHD, Blaze and Marek Krupa performed.

About RONDO 1

RONDO 1 is the most modern grade A altitude building in Central-Eastern Europe, formed as a result of a cooperation between the Polish AZO architectural studio and renowned American architects Skidmore, Owings & Merill, who specialize in the design of tall buildings. The 40 storey, 192 metre modern office tower is located at the heart of Warsaw's business district, at the Rondo ONZ 1. The glass tower also has an adjacent interlinked 10 storey office building. RONDO 1, located in close proximity to the railway station, offers 60,000 square metres of leasable space and 492 parking spaces. RONDO 1 is owned by MGPA Europe Fund II which is managed by the private equity firm MGPA.

Retail sales up again in June
Retail sales growth in nominal terms accelerated in June to 6.4% y-o-y from 4.3% y-o-y in May. The increase was higher than expected. In real terms, retail sales growth accelerated to 4.5% y-o-y from 2.0% y-o-y. June was a consecutive month with retail sales figures stronger than expected, which indicates that consumption is recovering after it slowed significantly at the beginning of the year. Private consumption is driven by an improvement on the labour market coupled with a rise in disposable incomes. In Q2 2010 retail sales grew by around 3% y-o-y in nominal terms and around 1% y-o-y in real terms. On the basis of retail sales and industrial production data, it can be estimated that the GDP growth rate was close to 3%.
