Polish investment funds gain strength
Polish citizens continue to deposit more in investment funds than they withdraw from them, TVN24 reports.
The surplus of new investments over the value of withdrawn funds came to PLN 900 million in February, according to Analizy Online. February was the tenth consecutive month when a positive balance of deposits and write-offs was noted. Funds’ assets have been increasing since a year.
The value of assets managed by investment funds in Poland grew for the twelfth consecutive month in February reaching almost PLN 95 billion.
As a result of market upheaval, money and cash funds regarded as safer became the market leaders. This group noted a growth of 8% while the assets of debt funds increased by 5%. Closed real estate funds and capital protected funds also posted gains. The largest, almost 5%, drop was experienced by natural resources funds.
