Poland to finalise sale of lignite mines
The Polish Treasury has plans to finalise the sale of a 50% stake in the Pątnów-Adamów-Konin compound of power plants in the mid-west of the country and of an 85% stake in Adamów and Konin lignite mines before the end of this year, Deputy Treasury Minister Jan Bury said.
The Treasury has received five preliminary offers, ISB agency reports. The offers came from the CEZ and Enea power groups, and electro-engineering company Rafako all quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, as well as a company connected with New World Resources (NWR) and a Czech company.
