Two-thirds of Poles have no savings

67% of Poles covered by a recent survey said that they were not able to put any money aside last year.

58% declared that they will not be able to save anything this year either, a poll conducted by GfK, ranked no. 3 among Polish market research agencies, commissioned by Rzeczpospolita daily newspaper shows.

According to economists, growing unemployment is the reason behind this. Last year, 29% Poles were able to set some money aside. The majority of them (11%) saved below PLN 1,000. 31% of Poles believe they will be able to save some money this year.
